Unitus’ commitment in action
Unitus’ purpose, “together we inspire hope,” comes to life through our long-standing partnership with MFS and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. By working alongside the wonderful team at MFS CASH Oregon and hosting a VITA preparation site, we help hard working individuals and families access free tax preparation, maximize refunds, and strengthen financial stability. As a credit union committed to “people helping people”, we’re proud to partner with MFS in advancing equity, economic empowerment, and healthier more connected communities.
Each year, MFS CASH Oregon—Oregon’s largest VITA provider—helps thousands of families claim critical tax credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit. These dollars help people pay bills, catch up on rent, cover medical needs, and build a bit of breathing room. Partnerships like the one with Unitus make this possible.
