Metropolitan Family Service promotes equity, helps people gain prosperity, and builds a connected community for all ages.

We embrace innovation to create sustainable solutions that address disparities and demonstrate respect for all individuals.

Moving Lives Forward

Since 1950, we have collaborated with key community partners from education, healthcare, business and government to create opportunities that change lives and make communities stronger. We are dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages, from children to older adults, to achieve their full potential.

At our organization, we tackle complex challenges by actively listening and engaging with diverse perspectives to understand and meet the needs of the community. In all that we do, we honor the inherent strength of intergenerational, multicultural communities.

Our Vision

A world where children never go hungry, young people are always educated, families are financially stable, older adults remain connected and everyone is healthy, happy, and cared for.

MFS Board of Directors

“One of the questions I am constantly considering is what is worth striving for out of life?”

“The mission of MFS, “to help people move beyond the limitations of poverty, inequity, and social isolation” is one of the most important things I want to have happen in my life. I am inspired and honored to serve with the MFS community including our board, employees, volunteers and partners in this whole endeavor. It is truly worth striving for!”

- Kevin Spooner, Immediate Past Board Chair, MFS
