Lisa Pettinati is the Deputy General Counsel at the Oregon State Treasury. She provides legal counsel for the investment management of over $140 billion in assets held in a diversified investment portfolio. Lisa advises the Upward Oregon savings programs that support the financial wellness of everyone in Oregon.

Prior to joining Treasury, Lisa was the Assistant General Counsel at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), a U.S. government agency based in Washington, DC that mobilizes private capital to advance U.S. business development and foreign policy interests.  At the DFC, she provided legal guidance on complex finance transactions, supported economic growth in emerging markets and assisted U.S. entrepreneurs and businesses with expanding their international footprint across a broad array of sectors and industries.

Lisa previously worked as a corporate and finance associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in Washington, DC and New York where she advised clients on complex business transactions in the public and private markets.

Lisa is licensed to practice law in Oregon, New York and Washington, DC. She earned her Juris Doctor from American University, Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.  Lisa holds a certification in AI from the UC Berkeley Law AI Institute. Lisa serves as an Executive Committee Member of the governing board for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Oregon State Bar.
